Author and etiquette expert Jacqueline Whitmore has recently been named "101 Women Bloggers to Watch in 2010" by WE Magazine for Women. Her blog, jacquelinewhitmore.com, is comprised of "Whit-Bits" about her life and observations as an etiquette expert.

Recent entries include What Your Handshake Says About You and Donate Your Used Books to a Soldier in Need.

Whitmore is the founder and director of The Protocol School of Palm Beach, a business etiquette consulting firm which serves some of the world's largest associations and multinational corporations.

She is also the author of Business Class: Etiquette Essentials for Success at Work (St. Martin's Press, 2005).

Rising interior designer — Chad Renfro of Chad Renfro Design, 350 S. County Road, has been chosen by House Beautiful as "The Next Wave of Designers to Watch in 2010."

Renfro, whose work included the 2009 American Red Cross Designer's Show for Palm Beach County, was designer for the International Polo Club's Ocean Drive Pavilion in 2009 and won the Product Design of the Year Award by the Building Industry Association in 2008 for his work in Naples.

Building sold — Regine Traulsen, wife of Town Councilman Bill Diamond, has purchased the TD Bank Building, 380 S. County Road, for $6 million from Daniel Ponton this week.

Earl Hollis was the broker.

Calling it "the finest stand-alone commercial property in Palm Beach," Traulsen said the transaction reiterated her belief in the future of Palm Beach commercial real estate and joked she will always see the building's "TD" initials stand for her and her husband instead of its primary tenants — Toronto Dominion Bank.

Insuring art — Thomas Galbraith was recently appointed Director of Fine Art Services at Bruce Gendelman Insurance Services in Palm Beach, said Joseph Gendelman, the company's president.

With art continuing to represent significant asset allocation for collector clients, Gendelman noted the importance of strengthening delivery of the agency's art insurance services.

Galbraith has years of expertise in the art insurance marketplace at the Art Loss Register and Chartis Private Client Group. Before joining Gendelman, he served as Fine Art Expert for the U.S. division of AXA Art Insurance and helped start up the company's Canadian operations.

Welcome feedback — The Brazilian Court Hotel and Beach Club was named to another annual "best" list — the 2010 Travel + Leisure World's Best Hotels. Brazilian Court achieved a ranking of No. 1 in South Florida and No. 3 in the state on the list.

"We are thrilled to receive this honor. It demonstrates the level of service and accommodations that Brazilian Court is known for," said Leticia Bilotta, property general manager. "It's exciting to be recognized by Travel + Leisure readers for exceeding expectations, and we are pleased to continue this tradition of luxury in the upcoming year."

Military exchange — Robert Hall, a Vietnam era Top Gun and photographer, will speak at the Palm Beach Flagler Rotary Club at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at The Chesterfield, 363 Cocoanut Row.

Hall's pin-point presentation will show a collage of paintings of airplanes — from biplanes to jets — and aircraft carriers — from the first to today's nuclear — in the way America sold its military arsenal to the world.

The cost of the breakfast is $20.
