Aqua Expeditions, Peru's first five-star luxury cruise company whose vessel, the M/V Aqua, ventures through rarely seen areas of the Peruvian Amazon, has been added to the prestigious Travel+Leisure World's Best Awards Survey for 2010.

Each year, readers of Travel+Leisure, the top travel magazine in the US, choose from among the world's top hotels, resorts, spas, cruise lines, airlines, travel companies and destinations, to determine the winners of the World's Best Awards. This is the first year that Aqua Expeditions will be included on the prestigious readers' ballots.

Readers who cast votes in the readers' poll at www.tlworldsbest.com through March 31, 2010, will also be entered to win a $10,000 dream trip to the destination of their choice. Results of the survey will be announced in the August 2011 issue of Travel+Leisure magazine.

The brainchild of Francesco Galli-Zugaro, Aqua Expeditions is entirely unique to the Peruvian Amazon. Watermark, Omni La Mansión are among the world's best hotels - Bizjournals.com

The readers of two leading travel publications have once again given high marks to San Antonio's Watermark Hotel & Spa and the Omni La Mansión Del Rio.

Condé Nast Traveler named the Watermark and the Omni La Mansión to its 2010 "Gold List." Travel + Leisure named the two River Walk hotels to its "World's Best Hotels" list for 2010.

These are the only two properties in San Antonio to hold these distinctions. Both hotels are owned by Irving, Texas-based Omni Hotels Corp.

Condé Nast Traveler's Gold List is based on data collected from an annual survey. Out of a possible 100 points, readers awarded the Watermark an overall score of 92.2 and Omni La Mansión a score of 87.4.

The 2010 Travel + Leisure "500" recognizes the 500 highest-rated hotels, resorts, inns and lodges from Travel + Leisure's 2009 "World's Best Awards" survey and lists the unique features of each property. On that magazine's list, the Watermark had an overall score of 93.08 out of 100 and the Omni La Mansión had a score of 90.26 also out of 100.

Omni Hotels owns 43 luxury hotels and resorts across North America.

Shangri-La's Mactan gives special treat for locals - Malaya
