Airline Encourages Travelers to Ring in the New Year with Bubbly Low Fares from $39 SFO-LAX, $99 IAD-LAX, BOS-SFO and $109 JFK-LAX, FLL-SFO*

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Virgin America, the award-winning airline, today announced a New Year's fare sale featuring celebration-worthy low fares on the airline that's reinventing flying with its upscale, innovative service. Guests are encouraged to ring in the New Year by flying in high-style for less on the carrier that was named "Best Domestic Airline" in both Travel + Leisure's World's Best Awards and Conde Nast Traveler's Readers Choice Awards. Virgin America is popping the cork on some amazingly low three-day advance purchase fares to all of its destinations for travel between January 7, 2010 and June 20, 2010.*

Virgin America offers a host of amenities that appeal to today's business and leisure travelers, like touch-screen entertainment, power outlets at every seat, fleetwide Gogo® In-flight Internet, and deeper, more comfortable leather seats. All Main Cabin fares are one-way and require 3-day advance purchase. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Tickets must be purchased by 11:59pm 1.11.10. Travel must occur between 01.07.10 and 03.10.10. Blackout dates are 02.12.10 and 02.15.10. Higher fares are available for travel between 03.11.10 and 06.20.10. Blackout dates are 05.28.10 and 05.31.10. Seats are limited, subject to availability, and may not be available on all flights. Flight may not operate daily during off-peak periods. Changes or cancellations can be made for a $75 fee if changes are made on Virgin America's website (www.virginamerica.com) or a $100 fee through all other channels, including the call center and at the airport, plus any increase in fare, if applicable. Guests who no-show without a change or cancel prior to the scheduled departure time will forfeit the amount of this fare. In addition, any future flights booked in the same reservation will also be canceled and the fare will be forfeited. Sixt wins Travel + Leisure award - Car Rentals

One of the largest car rental companies in the world, Sixt, has come away from the 2009 Travel + Leisure awards with the title of world's best car rental firm. The branch based in Dubai, and run by Gargash Enterprises, picked up the gong after a poll of Travel + Leisure readers picked them over all the other firms. The annual awards are polled by the public where they get to vote on the best in each category like best hotel, best resort or best Asian island. For the 2009 awards there were a total of 300,000 people that took part in the voting, one of the largest responses to date. The awards are seen in the travel industry as one of the best going and most companies strive to make it into the lights.

Sixt continues to expand in the Middle East and have recently opened up a whole host of new branches across the area. The large Abu Dhabi International Airport is the latest addition where you can pick up a Sixt car at great low prices. The firm has also been on the forefront of cutting edge technology. It was one of the first to offer booking via mobile phones. Their iPhone application, iSixt, is proving a hit with their customers as people strive to make life easier with just the touch of a button.
