| Stowe pizzeria singled out - WCAX Posted: 22 Jan 2010 04:39 PM PST Stowe, Vermont - January 22, 2010 Looking for a good slice of pizza? A Stowe pizzeria has earned high honors in a national publication. Piecasso Pizzeria & Lounge has been serving up New York-style, thin crust pizza at its Mountain Road location for nearly a decade. The pizzeria earned one of 11 top spots in Travel and Leisure's top picks for pizza in the U.S. The review says that the young pie masters "can toss a round of dough as expertly as they carve runs on Mount Mansfield." Owner Ed Rovetto says the magic comes from a long line of pizza makers. "Well, my family comes from Italy, we're immigrants, and my uncle started his first pizza place around 1971 in Mohawk, New York," Rovetto said. "We use the best ingredients money can buy and I couldn't tell you the secrets." If you go to Piecasso, the magazine recommends ordering the "Tree Hugger" with fresh spinach, garlic, and red onions.
